• Notes:  Upon his father's early death:  Prince of Wales granted Adam's wardship to Sir Legh of Bagguley.  Upon Sir Legh's death Adam's wardship was granted to Sir Henry Bradshaw; whose daughter he later married.
  Manor of Bostock was granted to the parson of Davenham and the vicar of Weaverham, to hold as trustees until the heir (Adam) attained the age of twenty-four.
• Adam was knighted in 1382 at the Battle of Shrewsberry by King Henry IV.  He was one of King Richard II's bodyguards.  1400 Adam commanded an army of 500 Cheshire men and 16 Archers.

Henry "Gilbert" Bostock born 1393 married Alice Brett in Davenham  A generation of this families lineage is missing from their son John Bostock born  in Tarporley, Cheshire  to their descendent Hugh Bostock born 1448.   Hugh's son John Bostock born 1524 was only five when he became a ward of Alice Corbett. (apparently his parents also perished during the "Black Plague").   John Bostock became the Abbot of St Allbans in Tarporley..
