Her father, William, died August 1, 1867, being 83 years old, and is buried in Doddville Cemetery, Macomb, Illinois; her mother, Mary Pence Runkle, died March, 1869, at the age of 83 years and three months; she is buried with her husband. Occupation: breeder of short-horned cattle, win­ning prizes over the country. Church: Primitive Baptist. Schooling: grade, normal, law. He served in the capacity as judge
