Milton was a great dad to all of his girls, he was a great provider for all of us.  He was a very hard worker and was great at woodworking.  But then again he could do just about anything.   He loved to travel, I remember while growing up we traveled a lot on many vacations throughout the United States and Canada.  Milton could go anywhere and run into someone he knew.  He was a very likeable person and always had a joke to tell.  It was very hard watching my father during the last few days of his life.  I remember one night around midnight when he was in the hospital he asked for a raw hamburger sandwich with a slice of onion on it, of course the nurse said he couldn't have it but my sister Patty and I went to the grocery store and bought a pound of hamburger and a loaf of bread and one onion and made him his sandwich.  That made him a very happy man that night.  He would have the nurses call me at all times after visiting hours and through the night to take him outside to smoke a cigarette.  I didn't mind getting up in the middle of the night to do that for him.  I guess all of us girls were very lucky to have great parents who worked hard to provide for us.  I remember one evening sitting with my father and talking, he told me he wished he would have spent more time with us girls but he was always working hard to provide for us and said that he loved us all very much.  It was great to hear him say that.  I really loved my father and miss him very much.
