In 1260 William Randle/Ranulp appeared in the court at Chester charged with offences contrary to forest law. In 1280 he was a juror summoned to determine the extent of the manor of "Frodsham" that was declared forfeit on account of the treason of David, brother of Llewellyn, Prince of Wales, the lord of the manor. In that same year William was involved in a dispute over lands in Moulton, a neighboring settlement to Bostock.
